Oswego Elks Lodge #271 recently held their soccer shoot at the Richard J. Benjamin Sports Complex. The tournament was a two-stage contest that represents the skill level of different age groups. The five-goal contest with its succession to smaller targets allows youngest participants under eight years of age build confidence. The grid goal contest for 8-13 years of age children uses the specific kick distance to challenge children to kick from a specific mark to score. A district soccer shoot was then held on September 8th, 2018 at the same soccer field for all children in the district that qualified for the district soccer shoot.
A pizza party and award ceremony was held after the district soccer shoot at Oswego Elks Lodge #271.
