Fulton Lodge May Day

In ordinary times, the Fulton Elks Lodge would be hosting our 70th annual May Day Festival and bicycle giveaway this year, but due to continuing Covid restrictions, hosting a large gathering was not possible. What May Day was always about is celebrating the youth of our community. This year, we have decided to help other local organizations who work with, teach,  encourage and enable the children of Fulton to grow and be their best in areas such as academics, sports, arts and community service. We have chosen seven organizations and are donating $200 to each.  The bicycle giveaway was always a highlight of our May Day events.  As such, we are also giving two bicycles, with helmets and locks, to each organization for two deserving youth they work with.  Pictured here are recipients from the Runions Dance Studio, which was founded 69 years ago by Ruth Runion Devendorf. Left to right are Co-owner and Instructor, Emily Pitcher; Zoey Spaulding, dance student; Jill Pitcher, co-owner and Instructor; Myla Shatraw, dance student and Silvan Johnson, Treasurer of the Elks Lodge.
