Syracuse Lodge Mary Nelson Youth Center Donation

 The Syracuse Elks Lodge # 31 made a donation of $2500 to the Mary Nelson Youth Center in Syracuse NY.


Mary Nelson’s Youth Center is a registered nonprofit agency providing resources in the following areas Education Health Career Services,Violence Intervention Mentorship 

where children from Pre-K to College can attend and receive school supplies including a backpack for the upcoming school year.

Camillus Lodge Food Pantry Donation

 PSVP James Roe and PER Tom Kinsella Camillus Lodge 2367 delivered two carts filled of food to Miranda Myszka, Assistant Director at Assumption Church’s Food Pantry on April 22nd. 


Assumption Church Food Pantry provides food twice per month to households that live in their assigned area. Eligible households receive enough food for five days, equaling fifteen meals and is open M-F, 8:45-11:00am. 


Assumption Church was founded in 1845 and brings the Gospel and outreach ministries to their neighbors on Syracuse’s Northside where there is an ever increasing need. 


Beyond religious sacraments, Assumption Church offers a food pantry and soup kitchen, health clinic, legal clinic, women’s group, Syracuse University Catholic campus ministry, and FrancisCorps providing young adults 21-25 year long volunteer service experience. Lastly The Franciscan Place at Destiny USA offers Mass in a Chapel and confessions as well as a the Gift Shoppe to support their ministries.

the Auburn Elks #474 made a food contribution  to “The Chapel House”… Auburn’s homeless shelter for male veterans and homeless.

PSVP meets WWll Veteran

 PSVP Mike Giehl had the opportunity to meet WWII veteran Mr. Woody McAllister at Clear Path for Veterans . 

He served in General Patton’s 3rd Army at the Battle of the Bludge .  He was a heavy artillery gunner on one of Patton’s tanks. He said General Patton would never ask someone to do something he wouldn’t do himself “. He was and still is one of the Bad A** men I’ve ever had the opportunity to meet.



Auburn Lodge Drug Awareness

 On Friday April 15th the Auburn Elks Lodge

along with members of the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office & Auburn Police Department collected unneeded prescription medication 

for proper disposal and destruction. The service was provided in partnership with Cayuga County Drug Free Community Coalition, and HEALing Communities Study. The Lodge also handed out Drug Awareness material such as Coloring books , pamphlets ect.

Elroy The Elk was also in attendance.

District Golf Tournament Announced

 District Golf Tournament has been announced-


Date:  Sunday, September 11, 2022

Location:  Emerald Crest Golf Club, 3989 State Route 3, Palermo, New York

Registration: 12:00 noon

Shotgun Start: 1:00 PM

Cost:  $ 280.00 per team (limited to first paid 25 teams)

Dinner:  To follow at Fulton Elks Lodge #830,

57 Pierce Drive, Fulton, NY

Registration Forms and Sponsor Requests will be sent to each Lodge shortly

Liverpool Gratitude Grant

 Liverpool Elks donated their Gratitude Grant of $2500 to the VA Hospital.   They purchased items needed such as sweatshirts, sweatpants, quilted jackets, clogs, shower shoes, telephones, interactive dog and cats, laundry soap, and other misc. items.

Liverpool Beacon Grant

 Liverpool Elks donated their Beacon Grant to (3) different local schools Backpack program based on number of kids being helped.
