Liverpool Lodge 2348 recently hosted our local veterans from the Syracuse VA and Veterans Outreach Center for an outdoor cookout, but due to inclement weather it was moved indoors. Approximately 12 vets and 6 chaperons were served Hamburg's, Cheeseburgers, Kielbasa Hot dogs and Sausage sandwiches as well as macaroni, tossed and fruit salads and cake.
Volunteers played Bingo with the Vets and the winner was given a word game book. At the conclusion of the day each Vet received a game book and the chaperons received decks of playing cards. An afternoon out is a pleasant change for the vets and hopefully we are making pleasant memories for each of them.
