During
the months of January and February Camillus Elks Lodge No. 2367 assisted the VA
in re-housing their 43rd Homeless veteran with the National Welcome
Home Kit. There is a collection box at
the lodge where items such as clothing, kitchen items bedding etc. can be
dropped off.
They
hosted a monthly Pizza Party for approximately 60 residents and staff each
month. The Ladies Auxiliary made a
generous donation that should cover the cost of two Pizza luncheons. And an anonymous
door also contributes to the cause.
Good
member Steve Poli donated and delivered an SUV full of sweatpants, sweatshirts,
sweat jackets and other winter apparel.
Along with knitted lap pads also donated we Camillus Lodge #2367 was
able to present a perfect and warm solution for our homeless Vets program.
We hosted 5 wheelchair and 3
members of the V.A. Medical Center to each of our monthly
breakfasts. The ladies auxiliary
presented each with a lap robe.
