Syracuse Donation

Today is a day to celebrate. On behalf of Syracuse PAL Staff, Board Members, City of Syracuse - Office of the Mayor, all of our law enforcement, youth, community members and leaders, we can’t thank the Syracuse Elks Lodge 31 enough for their generous donation of $5,000 to Syracuse PAL. Coming from another organization that is tenured and serves our community, we are humbled and thankful that Syracuse Elks Lodge 31 chose to support us. We know that organizations think very carefully about where they appropriate funds and we are elated that the mission and impact of Syracuse PAL was chosen as a recipient of this donation by the Syracuse Elks Lodge 31 Board. Thank you to Michael Giehl, Sheila O’Connor, Tom Kanaley and Pam Allen of Syracuse Elks Lodge 31 for presenting this check to us today at SPD headquarters along with City of Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh and SPD Police Chief Kenton Buckner for speaking on our behalf as well as all in attendance from law enforcement including Onondaga County Sheriff Paul Thorn Jr., NY State Trooper Captain William Ramsing, Dewitt Police Officer Damian Parker, Syracuse Police Department Deputy Chief Richard Schoff, Syracuse Police Department Deputy Chief Richard Trudell, Syracuse Police Department Deputy Chief Joseph Cecile, Syracuse Police Department Deputy Chief Derek McGork, Syracuse Police Department Detective Dawn Daley, Syracuse Police Department Officer Marlena Jackson and Syracuse Police Department Information Aide Len Terry. Thank you also to Kenneth Jackson of Urban CNY News for covering and reporting on this check presentation. The investment from the community is the reason why we will succeed as a community.
