Liverpool 2348 Veterans Spaghetti Dinner
Liverpool Elks # 2348 recently hosted our Annual Veteran's Spaghetti Dinner. It was a gala event with patients, their family members and traveling staff from the Syracuse VA hospital in attendance. The evening started with the acapella group Harmony Katz singing all our favorite Christmas songs while our guests were served a delicious spaghetti dinner with all the fixings. After dinner and while our VA guests were having desert, we served dinner to our musical guests. All our Veterans were each given gift consisting of a Sherpa lined heavy button up shirt, playing cards and gift bag of homemade Christmas cookies. The lodge also donated tickets for the patients to visit Onondaga County's famous 2-mile-long Lights on the Lake display which will be used after the new year.
