BPOE No. 271 (Oswego, NY) Teenager of the Month (2016-02-OSW-2)
NYS Elks Association President John Jacques
recently visited BPOE Lodge No. 271 and the Ontario District. Oswego Lodge held an Awards Dinner and
honored Clare Donovan from Oswego High School as Teenager of the Month.

BPOE No. 474 (Auburn, NY) Elks Distinguished Citizenship Award (2016-02-AUB-2)
During
a recent visit by NYS Elks Association President, John Jacques to Auburn Elks
Lodge No. 474 awarded the Elks Distinguished Citizenship Award, to Art Wenzel. It did not take the lodge long to decide who
the perfect candidate would be.
Art
grew up locally in Port Byron, NY and graduated from Port Byron High
School. He joined the Marine Corps and
was stationed in Hawaii.
As
a civilian, he organized the first local Toys for Tots benefit in the1980’s.
.
He
has hosted hundreds of benefits for both National and Local Charities. He has raised more than 1.5 million dollars
for others.
He
is a former Writer and Features Editor of the Citizen Newspaper.

BPOE No. 2367 (Camillus, NY) Second Anniversary Celebration Of The Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Unit (2016-02-CAM-2)
Camillus Lodge No. 2367 recently hosted a second
anniversary celebration of the Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Unit at the VA
Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. It is
only one of only eight in the country. The
lodge provided cake, ice cream and coffee to more than 20 patients within the
unit.

BPOE No. 474 (Auburn, NY) Dictionary Project (2016-02-AUB-2)
Auburn Elks Lodge 474 recently distributed 334 dictionaries
to the 3rd grade students at John Paul 2nd, Casey Park, Genesee, Herman, Seward
and Owasco Elementary Schools. The Dictionary Project is an annual
Youth Activity.
